words recede into a meaningful silence and the unspoken turns into a gazes' battlefield

for your appreciation of my little piece about one of the men I admire most throughout history. King Ashoka had waged war before his awakening and on his
return from the campaign he declared a peaceful, non-violent policy. The world
has had too few rulers with that inclination!
Cheers from Willy

vintage Willy, half crafty setup, half fake simplicity, almost raw emotion leaving it up to the reader to build the poem. reminds me the one with the fish wrapped up in yesterday’s papers :)

Thank you for reminding me of the poem which might have been my very first one on
this site, now more than three years ago. That contribution is also the only one of mine that has been translated into your language. This one is also a "still-life" in the sense that it deals with existence and emotion frozen in the moment. And I do appreciate that star, of course!
Cheers from Willy
