i think that in order to become a manifesto as you were saying, it requires more gaps to be filled, not only an idealistic/romantic attempt of bringing up the matter.
the renaissance mentioned above (which is a key-note, worthy of a larger extent than just mentioning)should raise everyone's attention, as mediocrity and self-sufficiency have reached an alarming level.

in Romania calls by some important broadsheets adressed to everyone concerned have recently mustered for supporting culture, in a large campaign named "The Resistance Movement" like in a sort of counter-attack against being bombed with mind-damaging phenomena (pseudo-stardom, incompetence, superficiality, ignorance, etc)

but i agree it's high time if not to eradicate from the centre of attention, at least to remove fake values from the limelight.
serious attitudes and also position-takings are demanding our attention.

i appreciate your idea of bringing it to our attention. any of us should feel convoked to participate with solutions, ideas.
agonia is one of the most appropriate places where to.

Yes, Veronica, I'm glad you got my intention. Actually this a sketch for "a real manifesto", which obviously is more a matter of ideology than the current piece. As I was talking to a Swedish artist we both came up with the idea of announcing the Declaration of Art here on Agonia in order to make clear that these kinds of projects need more support and attention. Is true that there are a lot of literary sites now, but like you said the quality is sometimes a matter of concern. To produce good quality art you also need to communicate your ideas with other artists not to keep them to yourself. So, if you really believe in art, as we are here exposing our creations and commenting them, then we should try to spread the word more. Written press, more projects, more support until we bring back a good quality culture in Romania. Thanks, Veronica, for stepping in and I wish you a Happy New Year! Cheers, Diana.
