Good to wake up from that dream. Good flow of the text through the poem.

the queen of Scots? And abruptly you wake up from her last hour. Captivating, or rather decapitating, Corina. I really enjoyed it. Congratuations! Cheers from Willy

...giving someone the power to destroy you, but trusting them not to. @ the head that fell above in the Tower of London was Anne Boleyn's, for so many reasons she was wrongly accused and for so many others she so deserved to die!..and it applies to Mary Queen of Scots fifty years later and so on.. I am pleased that the poem has woken up poets, executioners, kings, ravens and ..last but not least the author: she always believed that losing her head for love is the only way to lose a head ♥ - this poem just a milestone to prove it.:p Blessed be! ...and thank you all for appreciating this! Much obliged!
= Thank you for sharing this beautiful love poem | Ronald E Shields [08.Jul.12 18:46] |
I am especially drawn to the image - "and the corner of her left eye nested in the hand that was raising rightfully and surely above her head" such a gentle executioner.
