...about this poem. Besides, I think it must be important to focus on the existential perspective here: Days, years, aeons, come and go, while life laughs at the word "change". The poem is packed with symbols from Indian schools of thought. India's civilization has contributed to culture for thousands of years and one of it's striking traits is the emphasis on the seemingly ever-lasting cycle of life that, seen through the eyes of many of that country's thinkers never changes much. Willy, being an ordinary person throughout the moments I live, there were many times I needed to pinch myself to know I was alive, because the days were the repetitions of yester days...hence those few words.
