Hi Willy!

I want to ask you if "Radovan" is the guy condemned for war crimes, that was also a poet and a psychiatrist?
There's an interesting approach.

Cheers from Marius

I will always admire and deeply respect the Serbian people, regardless of their troubled past. Politicians and war criminals (often you can't tell them apart) DO NOT speak for an entire nation.

I would never criticize the Serbian people as such. Having said that, it remains a fact that many Serbs were exploited by hardheaded nationalist leaders; the criminals...That led to war and atrocities.
The story of Radovan Karadzic and his hiding intrigues me.
In the beginning of the nineties he looked quite a bit like my father in law. On his arrest after his transmission he emerged with the vocabulary, the remedies and the fashion of New Age. I have mentioned it before; man is fully capable of containing both bestiality and fine arts in his soul.
Thanks a lot for your comment too, Marius.

Yes Willy you are right, he had both - it is a pity that one was bigger than the other, but not the good one. And, as Dan said, it's bad that a nation as beautiful as Serbian people, with their traditions and history have to feel the coldness of his shadow.

Well done Willy - a wise poem, tough perspective and representative words for the basic idea, intriguing.

Best wishes,
Marius

...I'd like to express my gratitude and respect. Respect because this is a poem containing a political conflict quite close to this site's native country. Politics is a possible element in the mix of poetry and the staff members do have the possibility to rise above the disgusting blend of national and religious chauvinism.

...the recently arrested bosnian war criminal, hiding from
1995 till this summer disguised as a New Age therapist. The man was educated and practiced as a psychiatrist before he
became a nationalist serbian leader. He has published poems
of a somewhat disturbing nature.
Cheers from Willy
