What a beautiful poem. A tribute to Son House! The strumming style, Rapping the banjo style - gorgeous. Even the life becomes paralyzed in front of the blues.

I like very much the last stanza! Excellent poem Willy!

Well done!

P.S. – when I read this poem my mind ran out right to one of the best, which I like very much and sustains the same spirit:

Good Morning Blues

„Well, good morning blues, blues how do you do
Well, good morning blues, blues how do you do
I'm doing all right well, good morning how are you.

I couldn't sleep last night, I was turning from side to side
Oh Lord, I was turning from side to side
I wasn't sad, I was just dissatisfied.

I couldn't sleep last night, you know the blues walking ‘round my bed,
Oh Lord, the blues walking 'round my bed
I went to eat my breakfast, the blues was in my bread.

Well good morning blues, blues how do you do.
Well, good morning blues, blues how do you do.
I'm doing all right, well, good morning how are you.” - Huddie William Ledbetter

I listened to Son House on the radio and it struck me what an
immense influence ha must have had on one of my white favorites, Don Van Vliet, under the recording name of Captain Beefheart. Beefheart is also very much of an artist and there's no great distance from Son House's impressionistic hard-driving rhytmic style to art. Thanks a lot for your generous comment and the yellow one!
Cheers from Willy
