= spelling and omissions | Anca Anghel Novac [30.Apr.04 20:18] |
"old cloughts of blood" - "cloughts" ? "a knife in my vains"- a "knife in vain" or "a knife in my veins" ? "Under my skirt arised"- you talk about a "raised skirt" or about an "aroused" one ( although can't imagine how a skirt can be aroused; but let's imagine) "I play hide and seak"- "seak" ? "da da nu-da" -forgot to be translated ? what about "tzara" ?

thanks for your patience, truth is i have a lot o catching up to do, when it comes to spelling... i'll read my texts more carefully before posting them, I promise! about "da-da da-nu" and "tzara" - I didn't translate them and I know they sound out of place, but I think the author herself thought about "dada(ism)" and tristan tzara... how can I translate it?! I'm stuck here and I left them in romanian hoping you'll have maybe a suggestion for me, if not an answer:)) Thanks again! hippy80
= Tzara/ Dadaism/ DADA movement | Anca Anghel Novac [01.May.04 22:44] |
Tristan Tzara you said? Well in this case you have to leave it like that "tzara" He was part of Dadaism or DADA movement, a kind openness to everything that is new in art, in life. Maybe: " dada no-yes still looking for my Tzara my darkness illuminated with a cigarette " - would say better was it was mentioned to be said.
= keep writing | Anca Anghel Novac [01.May.04 22:47] |
I see Irina. You know what? This posting that you are doing is a very good way to practice. I'm sure you know how to spell but everything needs practice in life. Keep writing and typing and you'll notice a lot of improvement in short time. I'm sure of this. My suggestion? Keep writing. It pays your effort. Will see. PS: Will tell you a secret but don't tell anybody:) You know what happened to me? After spending some years in Canada I started to forget my mother tongue although I speak Romanian in my family. For me this was a shock and I realized the depth of my loss only when I entered poezie.ro/agonia.ro as a member. But this was my salvation against losing more and made me remember not the everyday Romanian Language, but the literary one that I used to know so well. Did I succeed ? Hope so. So if you forgot some English, don't panic just write, because you are good. I just learned this about you this week.
