after reading your pages i was left with a somewhat paradoxical feeling. you seem to have mastered a distinct poetic voice while still searching for more original ideas... usually it happens the other way around :)

i'm talking in particular about your *rage* poems, sometimes being laid on too heavy and not coming out as completely sincere: *the madman’s dissertation*, *gourmet blasphemy*, *we are the stars*

remarkable the dexterity of manipulating contemporary symbols, deconstructing stereotypes: *john doe is mummified and relieved*, *knives are marching in*, *to kiss the sky/ and waste the hero*, *the vice-president is dead…/ long live the vice-president*

there is a risk here of emphasizing too much the *sound bites* at the expense of the *inner life* of the poem. related to that, i think the best of them are the simpler ones, following just one or two main threads: *am I wrong, Lazarus*, *schizoid dream*, *buried within* and *one of my songs*. the indirect approach being used here, the mystery lingering at the end, seems to be more effective than straight, explicit irony

i should also praise the superb command of the language manifest in all of your poems

the second issue of EgoPHobia features this masterpiece (and other two due to dan) alongside some other really good texts!

"forgot to cut your throat" sounds very cruel, but funny, too.
