- Where are we on the terraforming?
- Everything is all right and seems to be according to the plan.
- Is there any risk of a greenhouse effect?
- In time, perhaps, but colonisation is possible.
- I’m sending you to personally take care of the planet. You’ll set up a headquarter on the Moon, from where you will control the phenomena.
- How long do you think this process will take?
- Thousands of years. Why? Do you have anything better to do?
- It depends…and what do I get out of this mission?
- Do you want a promotion?
- Yes, it wouldn’t be that bad…
- I’ll give you Infernos.
- That hostile planet? Why won’t you give me Eden?
- As long as I’m the leader of the winged souls, Eden is mine.
- And when will it be my turn?
- Each leader of the souls has to accomplish Celestus’ demands. Have you got any idea how many planets I have saved from under the domination of Obscuris, let alone Infernos and how difficult that was…? In the way you see it, hostile, it is a favourable environment for the wingless souls. Only a leader who has the experience of the celestial works can lead Eden. Thus, you being the next on the list, I propose you this mission. Do you accept it?
- Err, perhaps, but can’t I have until then at least a piece of Eden?
- What for?
- Recovery. I need so many aeons to resist Obscuris.
- You can recover on the Moon. Celestus will cover you with Shade when Obscuris will wake up. He will pass you by and the Sun will restore your aeons.
- All right. Be it Celestus’ will.
- Only on one condition. I must know everything that happens there. The wingless souls will be in mental connection with me through prayer. You will inoculate them with faith and with the system. The more winged souls you obtain, the sooner you will get Celestus’ favours. And thus you will have Eden, after which I will peacefully pass into Atempus. So what do you say?
- I find it reasonable.
- Here you have the genome. After the terraformation, Celestus will accelerate the evolution process with his breath. You implant the genome and you let it grow. The wingless will be born. They all want to have our image and our likeness. We will name them men. They will multiply by reproducing with the celestial breath. They will give birth to other men. Through prayer, life and then death, they will become winged. They will reach Celestus and will be given missions just like us. This is our mission in our way to Atempus.
Lucifer thought that it was a lot more advantageous to have Obscuris’ favour. Night after night he surrounded himself with darkness and took lava from Infernos. Then, he created the woman out of fire and earth. The celestial genome had turned into a new wingless creature. Lucifer lured the man, who became attracted to the woman. He replaced faith by inoculating pleasure. Instead of reproducing with the celestial breath, the man ended up reproducing with the woman. Thus appeared the first children of the darkness, Obscuris’ disciples, who are in Lucifer’s favour. The winged became dark souls who flew in Obscuris’ kingdom, the big Black Hole. The wingless had tail and lived under the rule of Lucifer, in Infernos. The battle between Celestus and Obscuris had begun. Who will gain Atempus?
God was thoughtfully watching Terra. He would have crushed Lucifer but he couldn’t risk leaving Eden in the hands of Obscuris. He called for his strongest white winged souls and sent them into battle. But on Terra, the winged ones had no power. They became icons, statues, crosses or bibles. They became dead forever, souls abandoned by the celestial breath. They became the eternal nothingness.
