= Correct version - sorry | Edilberto González Trejos [20.May.05 06:19] |
Even though I try hard reviewing, some "elves" escaped the revision... Sorry ************************* It was in a quiet place, not like the town where you used to live. But in that stillness, still strange, there beats the heart of the greatest convulsion, a logical contradiction, but nobody can see a thing. Suddenly the forces keepers of the order, the dead religious manifestations the Lords of each and every thing the Opium of the masses, they awake up much too violently because the order they kept isn`t it anymore and the blood, as well as the rain and the fire on this Land are the only ones that will wash the stains of this reasonless order kept under no concept. So, everybody die now, to resurrect and to be born again. 4/8/92 SONGO When I was 20 y/o
= So, everybody die now - If everybody dies there will be no more death. | Emilia Cristea [22.May.05 02:39] |
I read your poem 2 times and for some reason each time I thought of the war in Iraq. Religious manifestations, fire, blood, reasonless order. These words remind of the harrowing things that happened in Iraq. Or maybe I'm just way off base here. 2004 has been a sad year. Emilia
= Of Life & Death, Permanent & Temporary | Edilberto González Trejos [23.May.05 00:18] |
Dear Emilia, Never off-base! I`m a firm believer that the reader enriches the text and nourishes it, taking the author`s work until unknown dimensions. I wrote the poem 23 years ago... There had been 1 Golf War already... had not thought about the 2nd Gulf War... My point here was the realisation of the temporal character of religions and human orders, they depend on Man`s Inner Life and Convictions but many men seem to subordinate their Inner Life and Convictions to outer Symbols. Death is the Gate to Rebirth... We must die to our Old Preconceptions so we can be reborn as "Brand New" Creatures! best to you, SONGO

I meant I wrote the poem 13 years ago, when I was 20... NOT 23 YEARS AGO... OOPS! EDILBERTO
= Thinkin' of war... | Dennis Edward Moustapha [20.Sep.05 15:01] |
Funny thing... how come that people who actually get to know the war stop calling it by it's name. They call it everyday's life. War is everywhere and it's going on forever. People are dying because of other's people's actions or ideals or whatever... If war is life, and life is war then... when will we have peace? After the war of course... :P
= funny, terrible and true | Edilberto González Trejos [20.Sep.05 22:39] |
Funny, terrible and true, Dennis. We get used to violence, hatred and war, our sensitiveness decays, fades and we start to accept anti-values. Only by recognising war, we will get to peace; only through the conflict we´ll get harmony... It´s up to us, individually and as a collective entity. Thanks for passing by and dropping your thoughts SONGO
