| as of my own country's = mestizo is those people who is descendant from whites, and perhaps of those Hispanic, that's what we called mestizo, but according to the Spain, during the spanish colonization, the spaniards call those of different racially mixed people with the name of mestizo, even eastern, western, ethnicity................. sorry if i made a three comments, I should have told all my ideas on the first place, sorry I feel like I'm flodding your text............ | |

| Hi Joshua, These are personal reflections... I read a book many years ago from a Mexican intellectual, José Vasconcelos, the book was called "La Raza Cósmica" (The Cosmic Race), an Essay upon the mixing of races phenomenon in the "New World". I love the idea of the melting pot. In Panama, a small country we have people from India, Israel, China, Korea, Philippines,all the Arab countries, Afro-descendants, Spanish, Greek, Italian, French, Luso, descendants - from almost every Nation in Europe - As well as our Native Aborigins, called in slang "Indians". A subjective reflection as it is, draws the attention of those countries who manage fear of one race towards the minorities and the mixing. We enrich each other getting to know ourselves.
