I find this poem very deep and touching. It reminds me of my own uncertainyt in life, of the way one can not connect everything but is left in a wasteland with an empty sky ...I wish I could express myself better when telling about how I feel when reading this poem, but my loss of proper words is like the very state I think you describew in this wonderful poem...the difficulty of connecting , the fact of every one is in reality so alone...an no matter how many says they have been where you are, thsy really have no idea if this is so. Love the poem!!!

Thank you very much Anna Lisa,

Your words are very moving, I feel like a child caught with his pockets full of stolen goods, except for they weren't sweets, they were his own past years, stolen back from big, bad, haunting memories...
I am so sad you yourself understand what loneliness is, yet with each of my poems felt and understood by some of those for whom they were written, my own loneliness hurts less...

Very honoured by your kindness.

=  the very purpose of poetry

Due to your recommendantion to read and comment more, as an exercise, I decided to start with your poems. I have read just three of them and though I wanted to continue I felt reach in emotions and impressions, a state which imposed the necessity to chew them in order to move on to other texts. I feel an uneasiness, a struggle and somehow a detachment from whatever caused this insights-poems. As Ana Lisa said I too know about loneliness and I realized that it is a state of being. What is quite wonderfull is that you are able to write so as to propagate the shades of the emotions, thus giving the reader the possibility to find him/herself in the poem. I think this is the very first purpose of poetry, to create something in which other people may find themselve, and also an invitation to dialogue and so to reshape loneliness ( in this case).

Kindly, gg.

Hi gg,

I was absolutely delighted by your comment!
And that not -primarily- because of your very kind thoughts, but because of the elaborate, insightful and intelligent way in which you handle your argumentation!
If I could give you a star for your comment, I would certainly do it now!

Looking forward to reading more of your comments!

With friendly respect,

rc

-using a song-title from the late Ian Dury. You have a striking way to describe a state of mind here, Romulus. And I loved that word "soldness." Thank you so much for sharing this!
Cheers from Willy

Dear Friend,

How glad I am to hear from you:-)
Your comments always reflect what I have hoped to be seen!

I guess it has to do with both having beards:-)

Cheers,

rc
