Hi DCM,

The imagery of your -apparently and seemingly- incongruent thoughts reminds me of the recently seen "Prometheus", written from the perspectives of both engineers and the engineered...
You not only ask, but seem to be offering answers as well.
Intricate architecture of deeply felt concerns, well written.

Could you please re-check "There was a song, of which verses fairly blames..." as I have an uneasy grammatical feeling about it:-)

With friendly respect,

Hi Romulus,

I did see the movie "Prometheus". It had an interesting idea about our origin, though I didn't like it was mixed up with the existence of the other aliens, non-DNA related.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about my writings.
I'll re-check it.

With friendly respect,

Hi DCM,

In my opinion, Scott resorted to keeping the "other" alien life-forms as some link to his previous series, but as much as I'm concerned, with "Prometheus" he may have started something completely new...

As I read your text again today, it became more complicated within its compactness of expression covering several layers of thought, giving me a feeling of some of your thoughts being some sort of background soundtrack/animation for your main thought, which is still hidden to me. Please don't explain, I know some writers dislike that, let me/us do our part in understanding your thoughts:-)
The end-thought is a gem...

May I suggest "There was a song, which's verses fairly blame the..."?

All the best,

rc

Hi Romulus,

Regarding the movie, it's already become a fashion to place new happenings before the ones of successful others. Indeed, a brilliant idea in this case, but beside the intents of the creators and their quick distinctive behavior, -from my point of view- Scott's imagination went blank. (implications: the ferocious of them had got their hands on the high-end technology and killed the others – vs. my mental matrix: it's highly improbable that savage life forms can achieve sophisticated technology, nor by force {time})

Back to my garden, my questions are my concerns, my solutions are, in fact, my best suggestions. It is who I am that writes, in spite of the fact that I, probably, shouldn't be writing.
Writing is a wander to me.

I appreciate that you've corrected my mistake, but when I could see it, entire line was already changed in my mind. Though I can change it back if you think the first was better.

Thank you again for everything you've offered me.

With gratitude,
dcm

Dear DCM,

Very good choice for the change, I feel very honoured by your willingness to revert, but I NEVER suggest changes besides those required by grammar and/or syntax problems. There's one thing -in my opinion- any editor shouldn't ever do, i.e. giving advice and suggestions on WHAT others should write. The act of creation is and should remain uniquely tied to the one person involved, except for when it's about co-authorship. That's what respect is all about. I don't believe in courses for writers: you write, or you don't. Progress should and must follow with time and more writing.

And you should definitely continue your wandering:-)

Have a great next year!

Dear Romulus,

Generosity is strong to you :) and I, definitively, like your charisma.

You know, I wasn't aware of the reasons I didn't enjoy the movie “Prometheus” much, until you've made me think about it (my criticism was hidden, in a raw state, among feelings). Now, I think the movie is more like a poetry, where the main key opens a back door to the stage of personification. So, it's entered my secured memory.

By the way, I'm positive the part of text I modified, and corrected by you, was and is better, for the merely fact it keeps the pace simple, as meant to.
I shall continue my wander, thank you! :)

Have a wonderful season and a happy next year!

Yours sincerely,
dcm

My dear Friend,

Thank you! I wish I'd be as generous as I'd like to be, but I'm just objective (within my personal preferential subjectivity:-)) on a deeper, rather small detail level than others... For me individuality must rule collectivity, and detail must rule the bigger picture! Because detail "sells away" who the author truly is, making poetry/literatura one of the most dangerous personality and character revealing tools! Oops, I may have sold out my little "dirty" secret:-)?

Wth all my best for you as well, RC, Doctor in Psychoanalyrical Sciences:-))
