First, "The gates of dawn" - makes me think to the Pink Floyd's album: "The piper at the gates of dawn"; but also I think to as for a real place, where troubadours sing, a place filled with history and full of folklore events, were peoples gather and enjoy good companions.
Nice poem that inflicts memories for something felt before.

Cheers Willy!

...Pink Floyds first bandleader, deceased last year, is "the troubadour of dawn" Yes,it does reflect that album title! I regard Barrett as a musical genius.

The Soaring Pig is the enormous pig Pink Floyd filled, with helium and sent up over London to promote one of their early albums. The note that floats is the magic link between afterlife, dream and perception in the real world. These were my thoughts as I wrote this. I am grateful for the opportunities other (your) interpretations present!
Thank you very much for your comment, Marius!

Very nice done Willy!
I thought also to the Pig balloon filled with helium but I wasn't sure because the "Pigs" and "Pings on a Wing 1-2" are on the "Animals" album and I said not to mistake in the interpretation.
Congratulations my friend!
