...is the replacement of "the rat race" by "the vampire race."
I must say I enjoyed this most articulate and consequent poem.

Enslaved by work/enslaved by war. Everybody needs a break from their killing jobs. Apparently somebody else will pick up where they left off. Hell has to happen somewhere, regardless. This is a poem of our times more than ever. Thank you for being aware and for making others aware. Love the structure.

yes. we all need a break from our killing jobs. Liked your comment. I rarely write like this, but watching the news Friday morning made me sick. And it made me hate myself for not being able to change the world. Well, hopefully the feeling will pass, and the killing and the noise won't bother me in any way.

I so hope the feeling won't pass, and that the killing and the noise will always bother you.

yes well...still dreaming of selling everything I have (which will be extremely easy and won't take long) and leave for the mountains. there's nothing left to change.

...but guess what? who will speak of loves, wars and "casual Fridays" if the poets are gone? Do you trust the TV people would do it right? I wouldn't. Words on TV have become too "politically correct" to still keep their meaning.

they don't need the truth. that's why they choose politicians, priests, lawyers and other weird creatures to guide them. the truth is too much of a burden...
poets speak, poets howl like wolves, poets ultimately choke on their writings or end up crying in public squares, watching horses get whipped :) (remembering your motto). madness is a hell of a price to pay.
TV people are beautiful and dumb for a reason :)

... to keep the trend of "of [...]" titles :-)
O, writing is no easy job, that's for sure. But better howl the howls and cry the tears bravely, than cowardly rot in an ignorant, deaf & mute little TV world (National Geographic Channel and the like not included, though I must admit sometimes I suspect them of partially hiding the truth):-)

I have an answer for you, it's perfectly recorded in my mind, but poorly expressed in writing therefore I'll try to summarize and spell it out in a couple of words : either this wallpaper goes or I do.
just nonsense

... I got your drift, even if I put my most abstract mind at work :-) One idea is clear though. You want to go somewhere. You want to go really bad. :-)
