I like the idea in your poem, Willy. Spartacus' resurrection could mean something new to the Roman culture and its history. Anyway, is one of my favorite heroes from those times and one of my favorite movies. As to the shape of your poem I don't think the horizontal line is needed and after -someone whispers the";" sign is a bit awkward, maybe it should be replaced with ":", or "-". Anyway, nice idea. All the best, Diana.

...the Centurion urging his legionnaires to find the body and crucify it, only to find that no body was to be detected? What a looming menace of rebellion that must have represented to the rulers of that time! A magic story. I think your suggestions were sound and therefore I'll follow your advice. Thanks a lot for your comment!

am i the only one to see the resemblance to jesus? on a totally different level of course, but the impact to the roman empire was similar. the empty cross is a great image for a falling empire. nice one willy.
p.s. some theories say thay spartacus was a thracian from the north of the danube, so...my ancestor :) i should be proud.

...Horia, was indeed å commonly used demonstration of power from roman authorities. The empty cross? It did strike me too.
That parallel is strong and clear. Occasionally I have regarded Spartacus as a kind of pre-christian patron saint for
the slaves. Thanks a lot for your comment and reflection!
Cheers from Willy
