Nationality

What makes us different from everyone? Maybe it is our personality or way of behaving. But the main factor responsible for "building" us is our personal background, the region where we were born and brought up, where we discovered how everything around us works and how we should react at any situation encountered. However, some sustain the affirmation that our nationality is the key aspect that makes us so unlike one another. Can this be true?
Firstly, each country has its own traditions, habits and culture. Children get used to the specific things that the place they are raised in has to offer. They cannot possibly grow up with the knowledge of understanding the world in any other way but as the ones around them do. Therefore, it can be said that each country is represented by different kinds of people and that our nationality is a thread which can lead to a classification of dissimilar individuals.
However, does our background not mean the same thing as when saying the word: “nationality”? It is my opinion that it does and for that matter, people should think twice before “putting a tag” on someone who stands besides them just because they are Hungarian, or English or anything else. Not everyone is alike, so even if one might come from a part of the world that has a bad reputation, an immediate action to label him/her should be avoided by any means. Because if not, a conflict or a permanent dispute might come to surface out of nowhere.
Moreover, people tend to speak about persons they have just met in a particular manner depending on the relations they had in the past with others from the same country, region or social group. Before doing this, it would be best for everyone to take a look at the persons standing next to them, analyse and observe their way of thinking and only then make a judgement.
On the whole, nationality equals background, therefore the affirmation that this makes us different from everyone is just another way of saying that the “world” we come from has the biggest impact on our growth and perspective concerning life in general.
