And then he was here,
this man with such beauty in his eyes that for a moment I stood transfixed, raising my hands towards the sky as if waiting for rain to assure me that it has been done, as promised, that he has arrived when I was least expecting it. The air was heavy, every particle pregnant and round, filled with the dreams I did not know had taken root, were growing, sprouting leaves, budding and branching out, reaching towards all the horizons of the days yet to come.
