I sit down with some colors and a paintbrush.
My hands began to sway back and forth,
A motion of a glimpse in time.
Stop, rewind, press play in our minds,
Intertwine with me for a minute
I am going to lend you my eyes.
The picture is coming out dark and fuzzy.
Lines, colors, and broad strokes difficult to see,
But soon one will see as you take a walk with me.

I can see a pen and a notepad.
You was the pen,
My body was the paper.
So you began to write on me
Spelling out explicit types of things.
Class is now in session
I wasn’t quite ready to learn this lesson.
It should have been shapes, colors, and ABC's
Instead an early lesson of the bird and the bees.
Creating a scared child confused and ashamed
An innocent mind didn’t understand the concept of this game.
Lesson learned, but only innocence tested
Lost in a maze of bewilderment and sexually molested.
Two, three, or maybe it was four
Stop and rewind with me a little more.

I see a dark spring night,
The air smelled of anger and alcohol.
An evil and wicked face red with rage
Drunken words slurred, "Where yall been?"
Away from you, away from this, away from sin!
Angry strikes upon her face
We felt every blow with our souls.
Stood there screaming as he threw her to the floor.
Her face was a chameleon
We watched as the colors changed
First ruby red as blood poured from her head,
Then black like the night sky as a ring formed around her eye
At the end swollen purple and black like rotted fruit.
So long ago it is but a blur
Two, three, yes I was only four.

I paint the finishes touches to this grisly portrait
What’s this? A large ugly peach tree.
Have you ever ate a peach that wasn’t sweet when it ripe?
It’s because the early stage of growth
The seed was tampered with and unable to grow right.
This picture is dark and dull in our minds
It is such a hideous sight to see
Okay you can give me back my eyes.
