I listen to people during my lunch breaks.
Food can be nourishing but also a canvas
For stories about the universe, in and out.
We are all fishermen when it comes down to words:
I catch you, and you catch my hand
As someone usually catches the wind on a breezy summer.
Climbing cherry trees in search of the horizon.
Many times we decipher the others from
Heights we are not even aware of. Pride is a subtle thing.
And all of a sudden life plays us,
Dolls and sorrow, dolor y alma,
Souls in flowers never bloomed.
Chauffeurs of vanities on the roads of us aging,
us fading, us evading humanity.
People are quieter nowadays. The noise more introverted, and deep.
I am sometimes with you so much more
But when you bloom and open up,
I am able to catch a glimpse of you,
My love, as you truly are.
Just in time.
