instead of wine lives
no more home made cakes
prepared for weeks and weeks

shred glass for haggis ,
sausages and pickles
flock horizontal stripe wrap
not the little black dress

To cover up for the dead
holographic snowflakes;
are we still going crazy
over the same tune

all I want for Christmas is you?
Oranges for the décor
the smell of Christian Dior
hexagonally cut glass

the kaleidoscope
of the communist world,
revealing a colourful pattern

a bulbous tear drop
for the drama of it all
snowflake crystal tree decorations
no more sacred snow

the origami of our souls
on the dining room table
laser cut geometry tree
-no blood

only bows on red strings
by the windows,
a white Christmas tree
like the bare bone
of our wishes in 2003
