The Panic room
The panic room was empty, With nothing in it except for a book shelf. The window looked over a lawn in the backyard, Where kids from the neighbourhood played hide-and-seek. There wasn’t much to do around I guess, Until I noticed you. Your smiling eyes grew cerulean-blue, I would have cheated and lied and sinned for you - ‘Cause you made me giggle in my sleep at night Aware of my misery and dread at daylight - I craved for you. However, I did not leave the panic room I painted it all in cerulean-blue, I bought a canvas of God Pan playing his flute And hanged it on the wall. In spite of all that anguish and ache The torment and pain Love led to something… It led to this.
