Today I failed Jamila and boiled the turkey jelly
to death. My testimony laid on the patio brick wall, a display for the neighboursâ cats oozing of its garlic to liquid imbalanced ratio. Whilst it kept them at bay, unsettled vampires watched. Today I summoned Menelaus to prove that two line segments are equal, There was a tangent, a chord dreaming for special status, two bulbous circles like the eyes of the monster looking to reach for a stab at my heart. I preyed around it, let time settle on it like saw dust, let myself assume. Sanitised my hands to the core, put on the whites of the surgeons, pointed a pair of compasses at the innocent paper, losing its pulse, on my kitchen table. Abandoned overnight, it cried itself to sleep and called for its mother. Through wafts of morning coffee we smelled each other's fear yours imbued with dried dill, mine heightened. Make room for breakfast now, damn you, how can I forget that false can imply true?
