The Magic Pencil exhibition will open on 29 October at the Palace of Culture in Iasi.
The exhibition, featuring work by some of Britain's most popular book illustrators, will tour to Cluj, Timisoara, Bucuresti and Brasov. A wide range of activities for young learners, teachers, parents and museum/library education specialists will be organised throughout the duration of the exhibition creating links between the fine arts and literature with a touch of new media through an interactive CD of fascinating cross-sections. Exhibition programme: The Palace of Culture in Iasi 29 October - 23 November Tuesday - Sunday 10.00 - 17.00 If you would like to come to the exhibition you need a ticket for the museums in the Palace of Culture. You can get in free on Tuesday, 4th November. Teachers can bring their students from Tuesday to Friday after prior registration with the museum at phone number 0232 - 21.83.83 Registration can be made from Monday to Friday between 9.00 - 14.00. Parents can bring their children on Saturdays and Sundays after prior registration with the museum as above. The workshops for pupils/students take place daily, as follows: 10.45 - 11.45 Ethnography themes 12.00 - 13.00 Techno themes 14.00 - 15.00 History themes 15.30 - 16.30 Arts themes By taking part in the workshops you can also register for the Magic Pencil competition and win exciting awards!
