LIPS OF RAIN
by Sorana Lucia Salomeia Autumn paints two lips of rain On a face that’s weeping With cold, dry leaves of rust That roll down two cheeks of glass. The rain drops run down in streams Confused by a dazzling wind That howls and shivers Like a restless beast Imprisoned in a cage of madness. And autumn runs its fingers of lead Down the windows of the night, Grinning from behind dark clouds of smoke And through the rain of moonlight beams. Copyrighted © Sorana Salomeia, Iasi, Romania
