GOOD NIGHT, ANGEL OF MARBLE!
by Sorana Lucia Salomeia Hundreds of wandering Soft petals That fly through The breaths of the wind Like multicoloured phantoms Meet at the crossroads Of silence. This is where The paths of infinity Begin, Where a velvety Togetherness of shadows That kiss each other mysteriously Meets its accomplished Destiny. Each petal Shakes its balmy body And spreads its enchantment Into the entire atmosphere. Only the sweet, white rose Stands still and quiet. Its life was the flight Of the dancing petals Which are now so restlessly Being carried by the wind, A spot of light and colour That sparkles in space For one more moment, Still warming up the place Where it used to breathe. The rose is just a shadow now. A shadow that Slowly disappears Into the dim distant lights. Cold and with Marble – like petals, It silently vanishes Into a book With invisible pages. And so, it was born, It loved And now it passes away Without uttering a word… It lets its graceful petals Scatter away into the Song of scents, Each of them calling, Shedding a drop of drew Filled with the sand Of the stars above, Announcing their birth, Love Or inevitable death. And now, holding its own Funeral urn In its faint arms, Inside which its soul Sleeps coldly and wordlessly Even after its having passed away, The rose heads towards Another unknown garden Without anyone seeing, Feeling or knowing Anything about its existence. Good night, Angel rose with Marble petals! Good night! Copyrighted © Sorana Salomeia, Iasi, Romania
