EMBRACED OBLIVION
by Sorana Lucia Salomeia Oblivion is coming and leaving traces in the air. A tear rolling on a sad cheek and falling to the ground – a rose petal it kisses. A silent mirror on the wall – it has nothing to say, not a word. Another tear falls gently and caresses the tired rose’s dreams. Oblivion is here, but nobody sees it. Silence is its shelter, carelessness – its velvet cloak. An old candle forgotten on a small wooden night – table still flickers and casts strange blue shadows on a marble wall. An old memory melts with tears of wax and fills up the coffin of numb sleep and regrets… It is late in the night and the angels are asleep – none of them guarding the vision of dreaming. The coffin is open – so many memories lie there, inside it … and a rose gently kisses the dead air… A voice fills our ears and we follow its echo, but oblivion is here and you have now embraced it.
