i am living such a beautiful death since you’ve been gone,
drunk on your figure, stolen from the memory of the mirror or from the soles of people passing by my semi-basement window; i draw your image on old tables with no fine lines of sentiment, only as i remember it, naked and sad. the pavement screams your name with every step, i dream of you incrusted upon my body, arab hallucination, i am living such a beautiful death since you’ve been gone.
