I’ve covered all the mirrors so your eyes won’t follow me anymore
Their color brings me a feeling of sadness that I’ve never felt before
I’ve covered all the windows so your reflection won’t haunt me any longer
I see you everywhere I look and this just makes it harder to be stronger.
I’ve painted the sea in black to match my mourning heart
The blue just made me sad, reminded me that we’re apart
I’ve painted the sky in gray and rained my tears in heavy storm
But all the lightings and thunders only made me feel more alone.
I bring you flowers and light candles in your memory every week
I want to call your name but the pain makes it hard for me to speak
Surrounded by nothing but petrifying silence in a sad depressing graveyard
Reliving the happy moments we had… moments I now hold in high regard.
The more I try, the more I fail to escape the last image I have of you
For a while, all I’ve done was try to convince myself that this isn’t really true
And even though the formal way to express my misery is by wearing black
Still, every time I look in a mirror I see your blue eyes looking back...
