Et le grive sifflait son chant sur les os des morts.
Nous étions sous un arbre et voyions le temps s’écouler.
Le cimetière et la cour de l’école se rejoignirent et grandirent
comme deux courants dans l’océan.

Le tintement des cloches de l’église s’éparpilla aux quatre vents, porté par les doux bras de levier d’un planeur.
Laissant sur la terre un silence plus imposant encore
et les pas paisibles d’un arbre, les pas paisibles d’un arbre.
