Once upon a distant time,
Blarney the Dragon roamed about, Years passed without a crime, Dormant he lay, without a doubt. Yet, no one dares do wrong Until old Pete strikes the ground. Near the lair of the green beast, Great peril haunts the hills. Far away from the east My hero rides into the mist. Reaching the village is a must, To stop the dragons awful bust. Little, did my hero know Of the wrong he was mending, That only a strong blow Would make a happy ending. Thus he entered the village In the wake of a terrible pillage. Old Pete told the story Of the wrong he committed, How he turned into a quarry The last place It was defeated. But the biggest task will follow When he heard a parents sorrow. “Oh please, my nameless hero, Bring my daughter, home to me Search for my beautiful Meadow I will repay you accordingly!†The cave was his next destination He couldn’t wait with anticipation. A dark cave showed its might, Silence was all he could hear. The beast was nowhere in sight, Yet he couldn’t escape his fear. An attack caught him by surprise, So bad, my hero could not rise… A warm breath, a soft touch Something seemed out of place, He thought he had found his match, Ironically, he found a blue eyed face. A sudden rock slide stopped the beast From making my hero into a feast.. My heroes honor was at stake, A rock slide showed no valor. But there’s no promise he did brake, Seemed like chance did him a favor “Worry not, my dear friend, You will be my hero, ‘till the end.†They rode back on his horse They’re romance just beginning. Everything was planned, of course They’ll reach the village in the evening. Meadows parents were there waiting, The moment was truly amazing. Looking back on her words, The end seemed so far away, With the blessing of the gods, They’re due to marry any day. That would be my heroes’ story Happy to live a life with no worry.
