Moved past the insecure years of teenhood
We have…
No sign of the vanity
And fragile self-confidence
Of those days

Strong and fearless
We are becoming…
Wrapped up in the hard shell
Not caring what the world has to say
About us

What are we chasing after
We don’t know…
But we are so ambitious and hard-willed
Eager to get there
And become who we are

A goal instilled in us
From an early age…
An aim toward self-integrity
Fortitude
And power over our destiny

When we arrive
At the final destination
We will know
That once the opaque cocoon has been broken
