Evening in the city,
night in my heart... straight never-ending roads that come to life under my wheels, leading towards nowhere, carrying me to That place where it all makes sense. Grey cubes of concrete and glass that rise and set in the crepuscule of my headlights, as I push harder on the gas. Another mile, another song, another tear... The roar of the engine begging me to slow down, red lights urging me to give it up, the shivers of the steering wheel in my hands telling me I still have control, it`s still in my power to stop all this. The click of the gears shifting up reminding me it`s unavoidable... Our song on the radio. RPM to the max as I try to outrun it. speed of sound... notes deconstructing in the rearview mirror... Another hundred miles, no more song, just tears. The quiet of the cliff, the thirst of the precipice pulling me closer and closer, speed of light... flying... the frozen embrace of the waves, the last sigh of the engine... silence... redemption. why? Light in my heart... no more miles, no more songs, no more tears!
