Look the moon is out again
Mind the shapeless star that we once called ours
Could you call me in the middle of the night
Just to sign your name across my heart’s heart
Too late for wishes, too late for pathetic laments
Where could I find my belongings or my wonders
I rushed out the door to yesterday
And managed to cling on to tomorrow
Neither flashes of light nor shivers
Would now guide the way I kiss my beloved
Bare foot walking around in the conservatory on Debussy
And all this just because I forgot whom I was
One morning when I decided
To wipe the word love off the etiquette
