death's viewpoint

I was born when Eden fell,
And took my first victim when Cain rebelled.
Whether I came from Heaven or Hell,
I practice on mortals the same spell.

I’ve grown tired of humanity’s response upon my advent,
They greet me with an enormous and ridiculous fear that is evident.
Always saying that they have left a million matters undone,
And dare to demand me to undo the spell that I’ve begun.

You foolish mortals! When your hour is due,
I will show no clemency to you.
Give yourself bravely and freely to me
And listen what I have to say to thee;

To the youth that lives at the speed of light
Do not forget to appreciate Life’s delight.
Because no matter how young, when I come,
Your mundane purpose is done.

To the sage elders that feel life is treason
Remember, you are still alive for a reason.
Because no matter how old, when I come,
Your mundane purpose is done.

To the faithful believers that pray fervently every night,
Do not forget, salvation comes with actions done right.
Because no matter how loyal, when I come,
Your mundane purpose is done.

And to the lovers that fear I will separate their love,
Remember, that there is a stronger love above.
Because no matter how loved, when I come,
Your mundane purpose is done.

For all that fear, despise and believe my spell a vice,
I will console thee with this last advice
All though you’re loss may have caused profound pain,
The All Mighty’s purpose is never in vain.
