A bird sings loudly
Neither from a perch, Nor from a cage, But from her heart. The melody of emotion And outward rebellion Sings her fears, sings her love, Sings her life, in her own vision. The ever evolving youth, of her very being, Forges ahead in excitement and love Changing her song from time to time. But living her story in a gyre Until she takes to the sky, Away from the shield of her mother’s wing And soaring in the world to become her dream. When one day her life shall Paint a portrait of love and knowledge Gained from her youth And no longer circle in a manner That leads in all directions But give her voice for the winds. Her voice shall reach: Mountains, valleys, cities, the world. And bring change for the better To a world that has lost its innocence.
